Mayor’s Council for Women holds annual Chattanooga conference

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Mayor’s Council for Women is hosting their sixth annual policy conference at the Westin Hotel.

The council was launched in 2015 but hosted its first conference in 2018.

Women across Tennessee are coming together for two days to discuss policy issues affecting women.

This conference is also dedicated to empowering local women.

“Chattanooga has long been an advocate for women and women’s rights, and we are walking the talk. Our mayor, particularly, is pushing the motto, ‘One Chattanooga.’ One Chattanooga means all of us,” said Dr. Carol Berz, Chairwomen for Mayor’s Council for Women and City Councilwomen.

The Mayor’s Council for Women brings hundreds of researchers, advocates and community members to participate.
