Deadline approaching for porcupine naming submissions
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — TVFCU and the Chattanooga Zoo are holding a porcupine naming contest for one of their newest additions.
The deadline to submit a name suggestion for the African Cape Porcupette is Monday, February 5 at 5 p.m.
The Chattanooga Zoo has one family of African Cape porcupines. Porcupine parents Tommy and Pookie Prickles have three children: Penny Prickles, Nickel Prickles and an unnamed porcupine.
This contest is to name the twin brother of Nickel Prickles.
After the submission deadline, TVFCU employees will vote to determine the best five name submissions.
TVFCU will then host polls on social media to let the community decide which name is best.
The person who submits the winning name will receive a year-long family membership to the Chattanooga Zoo.
