CFD announces prescribed burn for Audubon Acres

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Fire Department announced a prescribed burn for Audubon Acres for Monday, Feb. 19.

The property will be closed to everyone except authorized personnel.

This burn will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

CFD explained that this will be a low-intensity prescribed burn that is an essential part of their overarching land management plan.

They said the burn will help combat invasive species of plants and clear the way for more native plants.
