Chattanooga residents invited to Community Police Academy
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Police Department invites the public to attend their 2024 Spring Community Police Academy.
This is a free academy, offering Chattanooga residents a behind-the scenes look at how the CPD operates. Guests can see how CPD trains its officers.
Some offerings will include driving simulators and K9 handling demonstrations.
The academy will happen every Thursday from March 21 until May 16. It will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Police Services Center. That is located at 3410 Amnicola Highway.
Those interested can fill out an application on CPD’s website and email it to cpdcommunityoutreach@chattanooga.gov or drop it off at the Police Services Center.
The deadline to submit an application is March 11.
