Two men killed after construction collision in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Cleveland Police Department has shared an update regarding a Thursday morning crash in Cleveland.
While authorities are still investigating the incident, they identified the two people killed in the crash and the type of car they were in.
The police department said two men died in a 2009 Pontiac G5, which was owned by 24-year-old Michael Slater.
Slater was driving the car, and 26-year-old Tanner Ratcliff was a passenger. They both died at the scene.
Cleveland police believe alcohol was involved in the crash.

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — A run in with construction equipment killed two men early Thursday morning in Cleveland.
Just before 3 a.m., officers with the Cleveland Police Department responded to the area of Inman Street and Church Street in reference to a 911 open line.
When authorities checked the area, they located a vehicle that had driven past barricades and struck a large piece of construction equipment.
The car was occupied by two men, who were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Names of the victims will not be released at this time.
The crash is still under investigation by the Cleveland Police Department’s Crash Team.
