Immigrants storm southern Texas border on Thursday
EL PASO, Texas (WDEF) — Hundreds of immigrants stormed the southern border in Texas on Thursday.
Rep. Tony Gonzales shared a video on X showing the National Guard being overrun by immigrants.
The video shows them breaking the barriers, shouting and eventually plowing through the guardsmen.
There is nothing “safe and orderly” about this.
It’s a BREAK IN.
It’s ILLEGAL.

The governor, however, said they failed to enter the U.S. illegally.
On X, Gov. Greg Abott said the following about the incident.
“About the surge of illegal immigrants in El Paso: The TX National Guard & Dept. of Public Safety quickly regained control & are redoubling the razor wire barriers. DPS is instructed to arrest every illegal immigrant involved for criminal trespass & destruction of property.”
In another post, Rep. Gonzales shares a second video of migrants running toward the border. He also said he believes the border surge is the fault of the Biden Administration.

Earlier this month, Tennessee deployed National Guard troops to assist Texas at the southern border.
Texas officials were preparing to implement SB4 this week after an okay from the Supreme Court. However, an appeals court then blocked the law again, just hours later.
