Bradley County Sheriff hospitalized after crash

UPDATE:

Sheriff Steve Lawson’s wife, Connie Lawson, posted an update to Facebook on his condition. She said on Sunday night Sheriff Lawson was in the ICU.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Bradley County Sheriff Steve Lawson has been hospitalized following a crash Sunday afternoon. 

The crash happened along I-75 southbound just before the Shallowford Road exit shortly after 1 p.m.

A spokesperson for the sheriff says that Sheriff Lawson was traveling from church in his personal vehicle when the crash occurred.

He will spend overnight in the hospital for observation.

They are asking for the community’s thoughts and prayers at this time.
