Soddy-Daisy High School wrestling coach suspended
SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. (WDEF) — There have been reports of a local coach in Soddy-Daisy who has been suspended.
Soddy Daisy High wrestling coach Ulric Winesburgh was suspended on March 20.
The reason for his suspension has not been confirmed by Hamilton County Schools.
In a statement released on Monday, Hamilton County School officials did not say what the reason for his suspension was.
They also said the suspension is pending the outcome of a law enforcement investigation, and that this is standard procedure for the school system.

“Soddy Daisy High School wrestling coach Ulric Winesburgh was suspended without pay on March 20, 2024. The suspension is pending the outcome of a law enforcement investigation of an anonymous allegation involving Mr. Winesburgh’s alleged actions as coach of the wrestling team. It is standard HCS procedure to suspend any employee who is the subject of a law enforcement investigation. As this is an ongoing investigation, no further details are available at this time.”
The Department of Children’s Services confirmed it had an open investigation into a case at Soddy-Daisy High School. They did not provide any further information.
