Tennessee Aquarium ranked nation’s best aquarium in recent poll

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A recent poll named the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga as the nation’s best aquarium.
Newsweek Magazine held a readers’ choice poll, allowing readers to vote for their favorite aquariums. They picked from a list of aquariums selected by travel writers, journalists, bloggers and editors.
“We are thrilled that the Aquarium’s dedication to preserving freshwater ecosystems and connecting visitors to Chattanooga with water and wildlife is reflected in this recognition as the country’s top aquarium,” says Aquarium President and CEO Keith Sanford.
The Georgia Aquarium was also ranked number 3 in the poll.
In addition, the Tennessee Aquarium is currently competing for another top spot. It can now be voted for in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice 2024 poll.
Vote for the Tennessee Aquarium in this poll here. As of Tuesday, April 30, the Tennessee Aquarium was ranked number 7 in USA Today’s poll.

Readers can vote once per day until noon on Monday, May 13.
USA Today will announce winners on Wednesday, May 22.
