House Committee chaos in verbal fight

WASHINGTON (WDEF) – The House Oversight Committee voted last night to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt for refusing to send them an audio recording of President Biden’s with a special council, even though they had already sent the transcript.
The vote was along party lines.
But the session was more memorable for the drama that proceeded the vote.
The process broke down for an hour of yelling and name-calling surrounding Georgia lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett got angry over Greene’s personal attacks on committee members when Greene made a comment over Crockett’s eyelashes.
Then Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got involved demanding that the committee strike Greene’s comments.
Ultimately, the committee voted 22-20 to allow Rep. Greene to have her say.
