Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said Delay was staying in a garage behind a home at this location.

Deputies said Delay resisted arrest, but they ultimately took him into custody.

During the arrest, law enforcement found a backpack with two firearms in it. However, HCSO said Delay is a convicted felon and not legally allowed to have a gun.

They also said he has frequently eluded law enforcement in the past, including on a motorcycle.

Delay had multiple active warrants out of Hamilton and Sequatchie Counties, HCSO added.

Deputies booked Delay into the Hamilton County Jail on those six warrants.

He also faces the following new charges.

  • Felon in possession of a firearm – 2 counts.
  • Resisting arrest.
  • Alteration of a firearms permanent number.
