Community Center Fire-James A. Henry Elementary School

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Fire broke out at the James A. Henry Elementary School on Grove Street this morning.

The building is currently owned by the Chattanooga Housing Authority and is operated as a community center.   When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the door on the side of the building.  The fire originated in the old wood ornate trim around a door frame.  All of the exterior trim was removed, and the fire was put out.  The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
