Chattanooga Police find fatal hit-and-run suspect and truck
UPDATE:
The Chattanooga Police Department located the driver and Ford F-150 in this incident.
CPD said it was a fatal hit and run that took place on June 8.
Authorities have not identified the driver.
However, the investigation is ongoing. We will provide more details as they become available.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver who killed someone in a hit-and-run at the beginning of June.
The suspect was in a customized Ford F-150 when they struck a pedestrian on June 8.
Just after 2:30 a.m., authorities responded to a pedestrian struck on Shallowford Road.
When they arrived, they found a 36-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.
The fire department and Hamilton County EMS also responded to the scene and took the woman to the hospital. She died from her injuries, authorities said.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the truck was traveling west on Shallowford Road while the woman was attempting to cross the road.
The driver struck her and left the scene before police arrived.
Police claim the vehicle is a customized Ford F-150 with bronze or gold paint and after-market lighting.

Authorities suspect the driver is a black male who uses a cane when walking.
