Police investigate Chattanooga connection to stolen airline luggage in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – A woman says her luggage was stolen at the Nashville airport and then found, looted in Chattanooga.

She tells WSMV TV that when she couldn’t find her luggage on the carousel, she tracked the American Airlines tag to Chattanooga.

Chattanooga police confirmed to the station that her bag was found in a Chattanooga parking lot.

She says Nashville authorities showed her a photo of her baggage on the carousel.

But a man, using a fake name, picked it up.

She says he took a shuttle to Nashville and back.

Nashville police told her this is the second complaint about this person stealing luggage in the last two months.
