Thousands in our area without power after last night’s storms

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Power crews from multiple utilities have spent the night and morning working on downed lines from last night’s storms.

Here’s the breakdown on what’s still out at noon:

EPB

The Electric Power Board reports that 2,300 customers are still out in their coverage area.

They are scattered across the city, but include outages in north Georgia to Graysville.

CLEVELAND UTILITIES

Cleveland Utilities crews were out all night working on almost a thousand customers who lost power.

By late morning, that number was reduced to 788.

VOLUNTEER ELECTRIC

Volunteer Electric reports that more than 1600 customers are still without power across East Tennessee.

Their hardest hit service areas overnight were Bradley, Polk and Cumberland counties.

GEORGIA POWER

Georgia Power officials report scattered outages this morning in Ringgold, Dalton and the Chatsworth areas.
