Pilot to sponsor Neyland Stadium in multiyear deal
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF)- Neyland Stadium will look and sound a little different this fall.
Tennessee athletics announced Tuesday morning they are partnering with Pilot Flying J, who will become the leading partner at the stadium.
UT athletic director Danny White announced the partnership means the stadium is now called, “Neyland Stadium Preserved by Pilot”.
The deal, agreed to for at least 20 years, will feature Pilot logos on the field as the gas chain will sponsor the stadium’s ongoing renovation project.
“This will always be Neyland Stadium,” said White. “It is now. Always has been, always will be. But Pilot can be a huge part in preserving that and help us reinvest in our fan experience and make sure it stays Neyland Stadium for decades to come.”
Neyland Stadium has been the name of UT’s stadium since 1962.
