Home renovation ends in fire in Alton Park

ALTON PARK, Tennessee (WDEF) -A fire destroyed a home that was undergoing renovations this morning in Alton Park.

It happened just after 8 AM in the 4200 block of Quinn Adams Street.

Firefighters say a flash over forced them to pull out of the house and fight the fire defensively.

They were able to save the neighboring homes, but one did suffer some melted siding from the heat.

No one was hurt (the home was unoccupied because of the work).

But the home will have to be torn down.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
