Traffic fatality involving motorcycle and Jeep on Highway 153
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) responded to a serious crash August 17, 2024.
CPD received the call at 9:15 p.m. from the 5300 block of Highway 153.
After arriving on scene, officers found a 19-year-old male that had suffered life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS, where he later died.
CPD’s Traffic Unit conducted a preliminary investigation that shows the 19-year-old male was on a motorcycle traveling north on Highway 153 when a 36-year-old female driving a Jeep Wrangler was turning.
The motorcyclist then collided with the woman’s Jeep.
This investigation is still ongoing.
