John Rose Tennessee Truth Tour in Polk County

A town hall discussing his future for Tennessee

POLK COUNTY, Tenn. — Gubernatorial candidate John Rose (R) held a public town hall today in Polk County. 

Continuing his Tennessee Truth tour, Congressman Rose sat with the citizens of Polk County to answer their pressing questions, as well as discuss his campaign. 

Individuals sat around kitchen tables alongside Rose, writing out their questions so he could answer them on the fly. 

The topics on the roster were education, economic stability, rural healthcare, and the ways Rose plans to keep Tennessee true to its core. 

“The answer that I am hearing from Tennesseans is that I think we have to be thoughtful about how we grow moving forward,” said Rose. “Today we have 500 people a day coming to Tennessee. Every hour we lose 10 acers of farmland. it’s not hard to figure out that if we continue at this pace, we’re going to wake up in a few years, and Tennessee is not going to seem very much like Tennessee anymore.”

Congressman Rose will be competing for the role against current senator Marsha Blackburn, and state representative Monty Fritts. Elections take place this November.
