Hamilton County charge two with auto thefts in Ooltewah neighborhoods
OOLTEWAH, Tennessee (WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s officials say they have recovered three stolen vehicles after pre-dawn traffic stop in the Ooltewah area.
It started when a resident called in around 2:25 AM that someone was trying to break into a vehicle in a subdivision on Lacie Jay Lane.
Deputies began searching the area, and thirty minutes later, they stopped a vehicle heading south on Ooltewah-Georgetown Road.
They say the vehicle’s registration was suspended and then they found a concealed weapon.
Deputies arrested the driver Khalil Sivels and is passenger Jaden Jones.
They say they later found the three stolen vehicles near the home of Sivels.
Both men were charged with a variety of auto theft charges.
Jones will also faces charges for the gun, resisting arrest and evading arrest.
