Police identify suspect in Resaca party shooting

CHATSWORTH, Georgia (WDEF) – Officials are releasing more information on a murder and arrest in Murray County from over the weekend.

The shooting happened at an outdoor party in Resaca on Sunday.

The GBI reports that 18 year old Jeffery Tyler Ray was killed and another person was treated for injuries after being shot in the face.

The Murray County Sheriff’s office and GBI have arrested 25 year old Anthony Wilkinson from Calhoun for the crime.

He faces charges of Aggravated Assault and Felony Murder.
