Manhunt suspect believed to be contained in Hixson residence
UPDATE: The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) believe the suspect from last night’s high speed chase is believed to be contained inside a residence.
HCSO says Randy E. Harris is contained in a residence on Forest Dale Lane off of Eldridge Road.
Law enforcement advise people to avoid this area at this time or shelter in place if you’re near the area.

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Late Thursday evening in Hixson, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies engaged in a vehicle pursuit which involved shots fired at deputies.
At around 10:30 P.M., HCSO Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Ford F-150 on Highway 153 due to the vehicle’s owner having felony warrants.
The suspect drove at a high rate of speed which caused HCSO deputies to initiate a pursuit. At one point, the suspect driver began shooting at the Deputies in an attempt to flee. The pursuit ended at the 1300 block of Hixson Avenue where the suspect stopped and fled on foot.
The suspect, Randy E. Harris, is still at large at this time. At least one patrol vehicle was struck by gunfire during this pursuit.
This is an ongoing incident.
