Bradley County School bus involved in accident before school
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — Bradley County Schools has confirmed there was a bus accident Wednesday morning.
Bus 55 was taking students to Lake Forest Middle School when it was got into an accident on Trewhitt Road.
First responders acted quickly, along with representatives from the school.
The bus driver has sustained minor injuries and is getting treatment.
We have not received reports of any injuries from students at this time.
The students were put on another bus where they were then taken to school. They are receiving further medical care at Lake Forest Middle.
Bradley County Schools issued this statement in regard to the accident:
This morning, Bradley County Schools Bus 55 was involved in an accident on Trewhitt Road while en route to Lake Forest Middle School. Bradley County Emergency Services responded swiftly to the scene, alongside representatives from Bradley County Schools Administration.At this time, the bus driver has sustained minor injuries and has been transported to Bradley Medical Center for treatment. As a precaution, all students were safely transferred to Bus 60 to complete the route to Lake Forest Middle School, where they will receive further evaluation by EMS personnel.
The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Bradley County Schools is working closely with local authorities to investigate the incident and ensure that all necessary precautions are taken.
