Man indicted by grand jury after April Eastgate Loop murder
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A man has been indicted after a murder on Eastgate Loop back in April 2024.
Investigators revealed 28-year-old Ja’Darius Conyers was one of three suspects who shot Johnny McNabb on Eastgate Loop.
Court documents obtained by News 12 say Conyers and two suspects set fire to the vehicle they drove to the scene of the shooting.
Conyers was indicted by a Hamilton County Grand Jury on charges of First-Degree Murder, Conspiracy to commit murder in the First Degree, Tampering with Evidence, and Arson of Personal Property.
Conyers was arrested last week.
One of the two suspects wasn’t named in the indictment.
The other suspect, Tyrick Johnson, passed away in June of 2024.
A woman has also been charged as an accessory for driving the suspects away from the burning vehicle.
