Unity Day for National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Hamilton County Schools, SSC Services for Education, and individuals all around the country are celebrating Unity Day this Wednesday the 16th.

This is a signature day for National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month and its focus is to promote inclusion and highlight bullying prevention.

Every day, thousands of young people experience bullying from their peers at school, after school in their neighborhoods, and even when they are at home, through social media and texts.

As this day is centered around encouraging kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, there are a plethora of ways that you can take part all around the country and even Chattanooga itself.

One of the biggest ways that you can show your support and show others that they are not alone is by wearing the color orange.
