Firefighters respond to early morning apartment fire in Red Bank

UPDATE (10/17/2024):  Red Bank Fire Chief, Brent Sylar, ruled the Willox Creek Apartment Complex fire an accident.

Chief Sylar also stated that the fire started in the attic above the stairwell to apartment units 11-16.

The damages total around $427,000.


RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Firefighters responded to an early morning apartment fire in Red Bank.

Red Bank Fire Department was dispatched at 5:21 a.m. to 2833 Dayton Boulevard.

This address is the site of the Willow Creek Apartment Complex.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered fire showing in the upper level apartments, stairwell, and roofline.

Firefighters were informed by residents that occupants in units 11-18 were evacuated.

Other fire departments also responded to the scene for mutual aid assistance.

The Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security posted on Facebook that no injuries were reported.

Red Bank Fire Chief, Brent Sylar, reported 3 units have major fire damage, 3 units have water damage, and 2 units have interior structure damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
