Chattanooga firefighters respond to series of fires and extrication
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Firefighters were busy overnight with a series of house fires and emergency responses.
The first happened at a vacant home undergoing renovations off Dodds Avenue.

The house is located in the 2800 block of E 47th Street.
It sparked into a fully involved house fire after the call came out at 10:20 p.m. Sunday night.
Two exposures were damaged and two families have been displaced.
Thankfully, there were no reported injuries.
Following the first fire, crews responded to 407 South Kelley Street for another house fire at 3:41 a.m.
They say a fire was started by a homeless person. The individual was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
CFD quickly extinguished the fire. Damage was limited to the small, unoccupied structure.
Crews ended the stretch working an extrication on I-24 Westbound. They were dispatched just before 5:00 a.m. Monday morning.
No serious injuries were reported.
