The Little Debbie Hamilton County Fair
SALE CREEK, TN (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Fair took place in Sale Creek this weekend at the Old McDonald Farm across the 2,100-acre area. Presented by the sponsor Little Debbie, the weekends fair continues to build on tradition, heritage, and history. The beloved autumn tradition served as a backdrop for families to make memories for generations.
With the famous Little Debbie company being one of the biggest sponsors for the fair, guests were able to enjoy a little, or rather big, treat for themselves. Little Debbie presented the famous, but oversized, Christmas Tree Cakes.
At the fair, families and people of all ages were able to enjoy a plethora of different activities including amusement rides, a rodeo, live music, a firework show, agricultural exhibits, and even a lumberjack show.
One of the main attractions of the weekend was the pie competition where 8 competitors ranging of all ages were tasked with eating an entire pie with only their mouths. Country music artist and Hamilton County native Brandon Davis took home the win in the 2nd annual Pie Eating Contest.
With Veteran’s Day being the 11th of November, the fair included special military focus with support from organizations across the board including Wreaths Across Chattanooga who place a wreath on each grave of veterans laid to rest at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
At the end of the weekend, all were able to enjoy a firework show to cap off a great time.
