HCSO responds to deadly crash in Harrison TN

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) confirmed one death in the crash in Harrison Tennessee.

HCSO stated that at approximately 4:30 p.m., patrol deputies were dispatched to the 10300 block of Birchwood Pike for the report of a crash with unknown injuries.

Upon arrival, a single occupant was found entrapped in a vehicle.

The victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle, traveling north on Birchwood Pike, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The investigation also indicated that speed could be a potential factor in the cause of the crash.

The name of the deceased has not been released at this time.

The HCSO is currently working on a crash on Birchwood Pike between Sims Road and Cooley Road.

Law enforcement advises motorists to avoid this area until emergency personnel clear the accident scene
