Lil Mama’s to close their doors December 31st

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Lil Mama’s Chicago Style Hoagy, a beloved sandwich shop in Chattanooga, has announced it will permanently close its doors on December 31.

Located in Patten Square, Lil Mama’s has been a staple in the community since its opening in 2021. Known for its Chicago-style hoagies and vibrant ’90s-themed decor, the restaurant quickly became a favorite among locals.

Owners Michael and Kori Ellis, who purchased the establishment in 2022, made the difficult decision to close after facing several challenges, including health issues. Kori Ellis mentioned in a social media announcement that she is still recovering from a traumatic ankle injury, which has impacted their ability to manage the business effectively.

The couple expressed deep gratitude for the support they’ve received from the Chattanooga community over the years. They are encouraging patrons to visit the restaurant before the end of the year to enjoy one last hoagy and to use any remaining gift cards or loyalty rewards.

Lil Mama’s has been featured on America’s Best Restaurants and has received numerous accolades for its delicious offerings, including the popular “The Crew” hoagy and their signature banana pudding.

As the closing date approaches, the owners hope to serve as many customers as possible, cherishing the final moments of their journey.
