CFD responds to an abandoned house fire
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – This afternoon, Green Shift companies were dispatched to an abandoned house fire in the 1000 block of N. Hawthorne Street.
The Chattanooga Fire Department says that upon arrival, they observed heavy smoke coming from the front of the structure.
Once they forced their way into the building, they discovered the fire was in the kitchen.
First responders quickly contained the fire and brought it under control within minutes of arriving on the scene.
No injuries have been reported.
We are working to learn more about what caused the fire.
