East Ridge Emergency Services Building Damaged in Crash
EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — A crash in East Ridge Monday afternoon leaves its emergency services building badly damaged by a juvenile driver.
No one was injured.
Both police and fire services are still operational.
“The employees immediately turned around, ran back into the office, and began life-saving efforts for the occupant of the vehicle, extracting her from the car,” said Assistant Chief Josh Creel with the East Ridge Police Department. “There is no information yet on how long repairs will take, as city crews are currently removing debris and assessing the damage. The city will also be working with its insurer. Currently, no services are interrupted, except for one office, where the employee has been relocated to temporary facilities.”
While repairs are needed, police say they don’t know how long the building will be under construction.
