Chubby Vegan Food Truck sidelined by thieves

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A local food truck is off the road, thanks to some thieves.

The sister of the operator has begun a Go-Fund Me drive to get her back in business.

Kimber describes herself as a single mom who got out of teaching to live her dream by creating the Chubby Vegan Food Truck.

But she says that two weeks ago, someone stole the generator, electrical cords and adapters from the truck.

Since insurance rejected her claim, she has had to shut down the truck and return to teaching.

But if the fund is successful, she hopes to get rolling again.

So far, they are about a quarter of the way towards raising the four thousand dollars that is her goal.
