CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Known for his work on Cosmos, StarTalk, Nova Science Now, and the occasional guest appearance on Big Bang Theory, famed astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson visits the Scenic City for an out of this world presentation.

On February 27 at 7:30 P.M., Neil deGrasse Tyson will give his “Cosmic Collisions” presentation at the Memorial Auditorium. Tickets are still available and can be purchased through the Tivoli Theatre Foundation website.

News 12 got an exclusive interview with Neil deGrasse Tyson and our Chief Meteorologist Austen Onek. In the interview, the two discuss Dr. Tyson’s collaboration with astronomer Carl Sagan, tease the next episodes of StarTalk, and ways to effectively educate people on science.
