Georgia Kicks Off Spring Football Practice

Georgia kicked off spring practice on Tuesday.
While the Dawgs certainly have a few questions this spring, they still expect to be among the nation’s best teams when the season rolls around.

Coaches hate turnovers. Even when it comes to roster turnover in today’s college football.
Said head coach Kirby Smart:”The numbers don’t say that it’s a more new guys, but it certainly feels like that. We are averaging about 33 percent new per year, which you would like for that number back in the old days to be 20 to 25 percent new every year.”
Georgia once again must replace a lot of talent headed to the NFL.
So what’s new right?
Said linebacker C.J. Allen:”I think for one the standard is always going to be the standard no matter who is here, and who has left.”
Said offensive lineman Earnest Greene:”I mean it’s like that every year regardless of who left or who came back. You have to show your worth on the field day in and day out. I wouldn’t say anything has changed as far as people having to prove themselves at practice.”
Said Smart:”Yeah I want to say the fire. Who really cares about this game. Like they care more about the game than they do about their NIL revenue stream.”
And that statement appears to sum up quarterback Gunner Stockton.
Said Smart:”He has done everything right since he has been here. That is really what he has embodied. He’s a tough kid that loves football. That loves his teammates.”
Smart has taken a few shots about his staff, especially offensive coordinator Mike Bobo.
Paul Finebaum said Smart could walk down Peachtree Street in Atlanta and get a better coordinator than Bobo.
Said Smart:”I really don’t pay attention to anything outside. I’ve got a lot of confidence in this organization. The foundation we have built. I’ve got the best staff in the country. I have no doubt about that. I’ve got one of the most experienced SEC staffs there is.”
