Georgia and Florida State Cancelling Future Home-And-Home Football Series

ATHENS, Ga. — The University of Georgia and Florida State University have mutually agreed to cancel the schools’ home-and-home series scheduled for 2027 and 2028.

The Bulldogs and Seminoles are now working towards determining a plan for a neutral site matchup in the near future.

“Georgia and Florida State have mutually agreed it is in the best interest of both schools to cancel our home-and-home series scheduled for 2027 and 2028, with the focus shifting to a future neutral site contest between the two programs,” Georgia’s J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Josh Brooks said.  “While we are still early in the process regarding neutral site plans, we remain optimistic and look forward to further conversations with Florida State.”

The Bulldogs begin their 2026 campaign versus Tennessee State on Dooley Field in Sanford Stadium on Sept. 5.
