Signal Mountain Hosts Successful REAL ID Event at Town Hall
Signal Mountain residents had the chance to secure their REAL ID at a special event held at the Signal Mountain Town Hall on March 15, 2025. The event, which ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., was a convenient opportunity for the community to gather the necessary documents and apply for or renew their REAL ID.
Participants were reminded of the key requirements for the event. To ensure a smooth process, they had to bring original government-issued documents (such as birth certificates, passports, marriage certificates) and printed proof of residency. Additionally, if a name change was involved, legal documentation like a marriage certificate or divorce decree was required.
The event proved to be a valuable resource for Signal Mountain residents, providing a straightforward way to apply for their REAL ID before the federal deadline.
For those unable to attend, or who are planning for a future appointment, the Tennessee Department of Safety recommends that applicants upload all required documents at least five days before their event. This ensures that their application is pre-approved and can be processed without delay.
