Two arrested after leading Murray County deputies on a pursuit
MURRAY COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — Two suspects were arrested in Varnell, Georgia after leading Murray County deputies on a pursuit a couple weeks ago.
On March 11, 2025, deputies with the Murray County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 76 and 225.
The vehicle being stopped, a 2012 Black Dodge Ram, was being operated by a wanted individual.
The vehicle sped up after seeing emergency lights, and a pursuit was initiated.
According to MCSO, the pursuit went through Whitfield County before striking another vehicle just before Varnell Main Street.
The suspects tried to flee on foot, but were soon arrested.
Authorities took into custody Arnulfo Dimas and Emmanuel Jacobo.
They are being charged with the following:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Fleeing
- No Insurance
- Crossing Guard Lines with weapons/drugs/intoxicants
- Reckless Driving
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession with Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Drug Related Objects
