Calhoun murder arrest

Calhoun, GA (WDEF) – Gordon County Sheriff’s officers made an arrest in the murder of of a Soddy Daisy woman Monday.

Thirty-five year-old Fred Jason Charles, known as "Freddie," was taken into custody near Calhoun.

He is being questioned in the death of 35 year-old Stephanie Daniel of Soddy Daisy.

She had been shot to death and her body was found shortly after midnight in the Dews Pond community.

The GBI is assisting in the investigation.
