SWAT situation at Tomahawk Trail

UPDATE:  Authorities are beginning to clear the area as they believe the suspect is not inside the residence.

Chattanooga Police say there is no active threat to the public.

There is a warrant out for the suspects arrest.


UPDATE: According to the CPD, CPD SWAT was called to a residence regarding a barricaded person reported to be armed.

HNT is also on scene trying to make contact with the individual. There’s no known threat to the surrounding area. 


CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Heavy police presence and a SWAT team is currently handling a situation at 4715 Tomahawk Trail.

The call came in for a “Disorder Weapon Involved” around 4 A.M. with sources saying the situation has been going on since 5 A.M.

Our reporter can hear police alternating between giving commands via a loudspeaker and running their sirens. Police ask citizens to avoid the area at this time.

While the intense situation is near Brainerd High School, Hamilton County Schools are not holding classes today for a spring holiday.

We will update on the situation as we learn more.
