Private Security Firm R13 Offers To Help Out East Ridge Residents

Jeremy Durham, R13, Retired East Ridge PD,"Be in the area more, have marked vehicle, they are going to see that vehicle multiple times a day if a bad guy sees that he’s less likely to hit that area".
East Ridge Police Dept officials assure News 12 they are working to reduce the number of home invasions but understand residents’ concerns.
Rob Wade, East Ridge Police Dept,"We don’t have any issue with someone using a private company to come in and provide legal home security, it’s something that we would encourage if it’s what you want to do".
Some homeowners feel even the rate of 50 cent per visit is not necessary and believe their homes are safe.
Others are welcoming R13 and believe every little bit helps to stamp out crime.
