“Elephants: Giants of the Desert 3D” stomping into the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX
Alison Pryor with the Tennessee Aquarium joins News 12’s Amelia Greer ahead of the premiere of a new feature film at IMAX called “Elephants: Giants of the Desert 3D.”
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Tennessee Aquarium is bringing an immersive and educational documentary that will take you on a journey with one of the world’s largest animals, elephants.
On May 7, the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX is debuting the 45 minute documentary Elephants: Giants of the Desert 3D which includes a special guest from The Elephant Sanctuary to give a talk after the 7:15 showing.
Elephants: Giants of the Desert 3D takes audiences on a journey of a little baby elephant named Littlefoot that is learning what it means to be an elephant and to survive in the harsh desert.
On May 31, there will be a special sensory friendly screening of Elephants: Giants of the Desert in 2D with lower volume and dimmed lights.
Additionally, there’s still time to sign up for the Race to Save the Laurel Dace 5K run in Spring City, TN. There will also be festivities to celebrate the inaugural Laurel Dace Day which celebrates the endangered Laurel Dace.
