High Point Farms hosts Mother’s Day event
FLINTSTONE, Ga. (WDEF)- High Point Farms in Flintstone hosted a special Mother’s Day event that included goats, garden strolls, and handmade bouquets.
Many families began Mother’s Day with breakfast in bed or quiet time at home.
But by the afternoon, they made their way out to High Point Farms in Flintstone for sunshine, fresh flowers, and baby goat snuggles.
The farm hosted a special Mother’s Day event on May 11th from 1 to 4 p.m. at 263 Parrish Lane.
Guests enjoyed a bouquet bar, mimosas, garden tours, and a plant sale — all designed to bring families together in a peaceful, joyful setting.
For Brittany Anderson, the day was exactly what she needed.
“This day’s been really wonderful and peaceful,” she said. “I’ve gotten to enjoy it with my children, and that’s the best part of Mother’s Day — actually getting to slow down and be with your kids.”
Owner Jill Baldschun explained that creating something meaningful for moms was the heart behind the event.
“I really just wanted to be able to spoil Mom,” she said. “Mom loves getting flowers, but what’s even better is if she can make her own bouquet. Moms love going out into the garden. We want to spend a day with our families, with our kids, but it’s nice to have a fun activity — something that everybody’s going to have a good time doing.”
For the kids, the day was just as memorable.
Young Hannah Poole beamed as she shared how her family started the morning.
“And then when she woke up, we all came in and snuggled with her on her bed and gave her the cards,” she said.
Among the crowd, Becca Wysong offered a thoughtful message for the day.
“Just happy Mother’s Day to everyone,” she said. “Whether you’re a spiritual mom, you’re a mom to kids, or even if you don’t have actual kids but you’re a mother to them as well — just happy Mother’s Day.”
At High Point Farms, families left with more than just flowers.
They carried home memories — blooming, bright, and full of love.
