Skip Well’s girlfriend: ‘He was greatly loved’

The 21-year-old graduated from Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Georgia in 2012. He studied at Georgia Southern University and was enrolled from 2012 through fall 2013. 

According to CNN, just last month, his mother Cathy, posted about the love for her son and pictures from Disney World. 

Wells became a Marine in 2014 and listed as a field artillery cannoneer. He already earned a National Defense Service Medal. 

Cathy Wells told CNN, "My son died doing what he loved for the love of his country and his family." 

He was one of those guys where he didn’t really belong in a certain group," said Ethan Wade, who participated in JROTC with Wells and graduated last year. "He was in every group and everybody just liked him…He was great."
