Chattanooga shooting patients visited by Senator Corker and Governor Haslam in the hospital
Corker and Haslam paid them a private visit Friday morning.
They personally expressed their sympathy and appreciation for their service to the community and country.
They also offered their support to the victims and their families.
Corker and Haslam also met with Erlanger’s trauma surgeons and members of the trauma team to thank them for their rapid response and care after the shooting.
Erlanger President and CEO Kevin M. Spiegel pointed out that drills conducted in conjunction with the Chattanooga Police Department, Sheriff’s Department and local EMS agencies “were responsible for this team effort to go like clockwork.”
“I am so thankful we live in a community with such caring, competent leaders and professionals, and that, we at Erlanger, have the expertise, experience and capability to treat trauma patients, particularly in situations like this,” Spiegel said.
