One dead after two-vehicle crash involving two motorcycles

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Sunday afternoon around 4:40p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a two-vehicle crash involving two motorcycles in the 100 block of Honest Street.

The collision resulted in the fatality of a 52-year-old man.

The investigation shows that both motorcycles were traveling north on Honest Street when the operator of Vehicle 2 lost control, causing the motorcycle to wobble.

Vehicle 1 then collided with the rear of Vehicle 2, causing the operator of Vehicle 2 to be ejected and subsequently struck by Vehicle 1.

The operator of Vehicle 2 was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

First responders administered life-saving measures at the scene until Hamilton County EMS arrived and transported the operator of Vehicle 2 to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
