Man convicted in 2020 murders of mother and daughter

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A second jury has convicted Gabriel Boykins of killing a mom and her eight-year-old daughter.

The first jury, back in November, was unable to reach a verdict.

The bodies of Tamara Church and her daughter were found off Greenwood Road in 2020.

The two were reported missing three months before.

Prosecutors say Boykins and Church had a romantic relationship in the past.

However, they don’t have a motive for the killing.

The jury convicted him of second degree murder.
