Hamilton County grand jury indictes man on five counts of child rape

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – An East Ridge man is behind bars after police say he committed multiple acts of child rape.

Matthew Earnest Tinker, 34, was indicted on five counts of child rape.

According to Hamilton County court documents, the victim was less than 13-years of age.

The victim told police she had been sexually assaulted five times by Tinker between July of 2014 and February of this year.

A judge set his bond at $750,000.
