Pedestrian hit and killed by CARTA bus

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police investigate a traffic accident involving a CARTA bus and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian died on the scene in the 500 block of Market Street Monday afternoon.

Officials are working to identify the victim.

Police continue to investigate, and  CARTA employees are cooperating.
