Body of 4th storm victim located

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Officials have recovered the body of a man who was swept away by floodwaters last night.

It happened off East Brainerd Road.

Officials believe he took off running and mistakenly ran into a flooded creek.

Firefighters quickly reported the incident and a search was launched.

But it was called off after a few hours.

The search resumed on Wednesday and a K-9 from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office alerted on the area.

Chattanooga Police are not able to positively identify the victim at this time.
